Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme
Stanhope Business Centre is excited to announce that the container deposit scheme has commenced and is working well. Located at 25 Birdwood Ave Stanhope.
Bring your CLEAN cans and bottles with their barcodes intact and receive your 10c refund.
If you download the Victoria Container Deposit Scheme app (CDS Vic North) onto your phone, you are able to have the money paid directly into your account.
Cash is also available for the cans paid to you, or you can donate to a donation partner (charity).
The Business Centre is open:
Monday 11am - 3pm
Tuesday - CLOSED
Wednesday 11am - 3pm
Thursday 11am - 3pm
Friday 11am - 3pm
Saturday 9am - 1pm
Sunday 9am - 1pm
As the Business Centre will be open to receive the containers, visitors may like to use the library or any of the services available during the extra opening hours on the weekend.
We welcome everyone to come and deposit their bottle or cans.
Eligible Containers
All containers must be beverage containers. Containers must be in good shape - not crushed or damaged. The label or barcode must still be intact. Lids can be left on. Ineligible or contaminated containers will be refused.
